Who we are.

The Alberni Valley Gaming Association (AVGA) is a group of 47 local charities who as a group, own and operate Chances RimRock Gaming Centre. Our Mission statement " Using ethical and innovative practices, the AVGA will support our Member Charities to build a vibrant, sustainable community."

Feature Charity - Western Vancouver Island Industrial Heritage Society

The original mandate of the Western Vancouver Island Industrial Heritage Society was to restore, maintain and operate the industrial collection of the Alberni Valley Museum. The collection is extensive and consists of logging-related vehicles; trains and the Alberni Roundhouse; the restored 1912 Port Alberni Railway station; and more recently the McLean Mill National Historic Site and the Industrial Heritage Centre (the old Arena) have also come under the umbrella of the Society.
